Meet the Coaches

Coach Jeff has been the Head Coach of the Bearcats & Mustangs for 8 years. He has been married for 36 years and is the father of 7 children. He was the President of the Kentucky Lacrosse Association for 4 years and is an official with BLOA. Coach Jeff has twin boys that lead him to lacrosse while in middle school, followed by a daughter that started playing in high school and currently has his 2 high school boys that play. Coach didn't grow up with a stick in his hand but wished he had. He fell in love with the sport, the heritage and the life lessons it teaches young men and women. He will tell you he is most proud of his wife, followed closely by his children and then being allowed the honor and privilege of coaching lacrosse.  

We believe that coaching is a privilege that comes with major responsibilities. Just as coaches hold players accountable for their actions, our coaches are reminded their actions are being watched by the young men they are coaching. It is a coaches duty to always be honest with the players, we will always tell them the good, bad, and ugly of any situation. Instructing and teaching players can take many different forms and to be effective it may be different for different players. Our coaches have been trained to adapt how they handle any situation based on the player or players involved. We will reach out to parents occasionally on techniques that work at home. We will get to know each player, by doing so we learn what works to motivate them and what works to insire them. Our #1 goal is that every player has fun, enjoys the experience and wants to play again next season. 

Wins build excitement, losses build character but continuing to play builds a childhood of memories that will last a lifetime.                          Coach Jeff
